Arch of the Hurva (Ruined Synagogue) in the Old City of Jerusalem.
Until its destruction by the Arab Legion in 1948, the Hurva Synagogue was one of the two tallest
buildings in the Jewish Quarter. It's balcony and domed roof towered high above this arch.
This arch is only one of its four arches that was reconstructed.
Today it is a landmark in the Jewish Quarter, just as the synagogue used to be.
