Kotel (Western Wall) of the Temple Mount.

See the tertiary use of the stone in the center. This Wall is the closest to the magnificent Temple that was destroyed by the Romans in the year 70 CE. Jews pray in the direction of the Temple which stood on the other side of this Wall. The Wall itself has come to symbolize the yearnings of the Jews. It has remained a place of their prayer for almost 2,000 years.
