We get letters.

We get letters at Actual Jerusalem. And I try to add them where possible to the article they relate to. But this letter deserves an article on its own. The Prussian military theorist von Clausewitz wrote that war is an extension of politics. And in our modern world we must add that propaganda is an extension of war. Propaganda seeks to either affect change on the opposing forces, influence others otherwise not involved, or strengthen the resolve of ones own side.
I want to show the letter. And comment on it. The letter's contents are in red, uncut, and in full.

How can you talk about Intefada as terrorism!
The war of stones or the "Intefada" has been mainly directed at civilians. And as such is a continous process of criminal assault directed at people because they are Jews. What about the Israeli terrorism of killing children? Children are been killed because they are being used by the PLO. The PLO organizers recruit the children to throw stones at Israeli Army positions. And then other PLO operatives fire at these positions from behind the children. The famous pictures of the 12 year old ducking with his father behind some can and being killed presumably by Israeli gunfire does not show that PLO forces are firing from either end of the wall that the boy is against. (Recent IDF findings point to the boy being killed by PLO gunmen. More will be developing on this issue) Stones against macnine guns, bombs, tanks, and rockets?This is only an argument of the stupidity of the Intefada itself. Stones are the primitive tools of war. You should know that there have been many calling for Israel to develop a measure for measure approach and throw stones back. There has been bombing, and extensive rifle and automatic weapon firing from the PLO. This current wave of violence started with soldiers dying and injured when they went to defuse a bomb meant for a children's school bus.What kind of terrorism is this? and on which side?The PLO continues to target civilians with rifle fire. And sends the children to stone troops.
What about Deir Yassin, Sabra and Shatila, and Qana massacres?In each of these cases the war was started by the enemies of Israel. For Deir Yassin we have a 33 page pamphlet "Deir Yassin, History of a Lie" by Morton A. Klein. To order Click here. Sabra and Shatila were operations of the Christian Phalange Forces in Lebanon. Qana was the UNIFIL camp used by the Hizbolla to position the families of Hizbolla fighters. The artillery attack was against these Hizbolla fighters who were operating from this camp.Which side were the terrorists?The enemies of Israel.

You drive the original owners through your allies and take over their lands, property and everything and call it yours?At the end of the First World War Ottoman Turkey was defeated. And many of its lands were divided up. The land called Palestine, now Israel and Jordan, were barren empty lands with few people living on them. The Jews were returning to the Land from their many years of exile. The San Remo conference and the Versailles treaty provided much territory to many Arabs by creating Syria and Iraq, setting loose Egypt and North Africa. The land in "Palestine" was mainly owned by Turks and Greeks. The Jews had to buy it from them. Arabs held very little land here. They were few in number. They were poor. The land itself could not support the population that was here. The primary industry was Pilgrimage. Food was imported. The first task that the new Jewish resettlers of the Land had to do was establish farms. These were not stolen from the Arabs. They were built new.
We might just make stealing, killings and massacres legal.This appears to be the policy of the PLO and the enemies of Israel.
How could Jews who went through so much at the hands of the Nazis do the same and more to other humans?The writer must be extremely ignorant of what the Nazis actually did, or just wants to accuse the Jews. No legitimate case can be made that Israel is trying to wipe out these people. Israeli forces and civilians face constant waves of violence against themselves. If they fail to protect themselves they die. If they successfully defend themselves the writer accuses them of murder. Three successive Israeli governments have conceded land to the PLO controlled Palestine Authority in the hope that this would bring peace. After years of Israel trying to build confidence between the sides the PLO response is killing, bombings, and stonings.
