The Rebbitzen was a friend, a leader, and the number one supporter of the Bostoner Rebbe Shlita.
As a friend she gave me good advise. And always had a smile. Even when she reproved someone she did it in a way that let you know you could redeem yourself. She was a successful shadchan. A famous quote from her was "He's a boy. She's a girl. It's a perfect match."
As a leader she was the executive in charge of hospitality in the Bostoner community. Her kitchen served over a hundred meals a week to people outside of her family. She supervised the kitchen and maintenance staff.
As wife of the Rebbe she assisted him in many ways. I've been asked if I was a chosid of the Rebbe. And my answer has been No but I love the Rebbe and the Rebbitzen and all the Horowitz family. The Rebbe has helped me a great deal in material ways. But more than that the Rebbe has been a role model by striving to live the life of a Jew learning Torah and doing Mitzvot. The Rebbitzen was always there as his helpmate.
May the memory of her be a blessing to us all.
