New Works
The VogueGioiello Magazine is a special edition publication of the Vogue Magazine. They joined with the Tuscany Region Jeweler's Association, and organized a special international competition for newcomers in the jewelry design branches. The magazine sponsored each artist and provided an on-line "personal page" for the viewing of six entry samples.
Necklace
"2nd Temple Period Pomegranate Coin Motif"---this very popular item in Nathanael's inventory is a set of earrings, pendant, and brooch, based on the pomegranate theme used in 2nd Temple Period coinage. The items are available in 24kt gold plated brass, or sterling silver, and can delivered ina very nice box if ordered as a set.
Capernaum
"2nd Temple Period Cartouche" --inspired by stone work designs of the ruins of the famous synagogue of Capernaum. This collection, in silver and 24kt gold, set with garnet stone cabouchons, consists of a brooche, large pendant, and bracelet. Note of addition of the name, also in 24kt gold, in the lower right hand corner of each item. Feathers add an extra touch to these unique pieces.
pectoral
Taken from a collection of jewelry based on pottery designs from the 1st Temple Period and Philistine designs, this elegant collar suggests the collars frequently worn in those ancient times in our region.
Medalion
"Woman of Valor" Distinguished Service Award Ribbon---typical of Nathanael's humor, this "ribbon of honor" was presented to his wife on their 30th wedding anniversary. Designed as a distinguished service military award, the piece includes a bar inscribed in Hebrew with the word for valor, an elegant silk ribbon, and fob with the inscription "30" set with a matching amber cabouchone.
Jerusalem
Nathanael celebrated the 3,000 Years of Jerusalem observances with this special set of Jerusalem themed jewelry. The design suggests the Jerusalem skyline, with the many domes and towers, arches, and doors. He offered these in various forms, with the word "Jerusalem" in English,Hebrew or Arabic, and the number "3000." During the millenium period, he readapted the design with the number "2000" as a unique pilgrim's gift. The items are available in sterling silver or 24kt plated brass, as large chocker pendants or brooches. Brooches can be either left as open-worked pieces, or mounted on wooden slabs, in olive, oak, purple heart or mahogany.
personalized
Birthday collar gift----another personalized item, this collar of heavy wire is finished off at each end with dangling letter forms spelling out "Liz" in English and Hebrew, in copper, 24 kt plated brass and sterling silver.
