The clock is an example of a personalized gift item. This desk clock ensemble was specially commissioned as a birthday gift to the Admor (Chief Spiritual Leader) of the Belz Chassidic community. The client, Haim, asked that quotes from Psalms be used which gives his blessing to the rebbe, a code that the rebbe can understand. The window on the extreme right will contain weekly prayer time charts. Nathanael strongly suggested using a Hebrew faced clock to please the rebbe even more. Nathanael supervised the entire project, researching the subject of Hebrew clocks, and later designing and executing the silver elements through traditional piercing and engraving. He also supervised the design and completion of the wooden elements and the installation of the temperature, barometer and hydrometer dials, some of which had to be calibrated to the Jerusalem situation. This is a one of a kind item. This carefully conceived and constructed item is an example of the "tradition" that Tradition Gifts from Israel strives to achieve. To be given the responsibility of designing a personal presentation gift to an Admor is considered a great honor.
